PHOENIX, Jan. 6, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The School of Ballet Arizona is welcoming ballet students from the Valley and beyond to participate in its annual Summer Intensive Program. The Upper Division program is open to students ages 11-20 who are interested in an advanced experience and will run from June 13 through July 22, 2022. A children's and beginner division Summer Ballet School will be available for children ages 4-12 and will take place from June 13 through July 8, 2022. Interested students may audition virtually via video or attend an in-person audition at one of audition events throughout the country.
"It is an honor to offer serious and beginner ballet students the opportunity to build a rich diversity of dance forms that will prepare them for the electric demands of dance companies today," said Maria Simonetti, the Director of the School of Ballet Arizona. "Our summer programs help dancers of all ages fall deeper in love with the art of dance and further develop their skills while building a community of support. We are thankful for the ability to carry on this summer intensive again next year."
Ballet Arizona's Summer Intensive offers students the highest caliber of intensive classical training, augmented by a rich diversity of dance forms necessary to meet the eclectic demands of dance companies today. Classes run five days a week for upper and lower division students. Housing is also available for students 13 and older. The Summer Ballet School students have ballet class twice to five times per week depending on their age. Future Ballet Arizona Studio Company members are selected from attendees of the Summer Intensive.

With dancer and staff safety the highest priority, accepted students will be given the option to select any combination of weeks to attend. Continued rigorous health and safety measures, in accordance with the recommendations of the CDC and local health authorities, will be in place.
