NEW YORK, July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Shops at Skyview, a multi-level shopping destination in Queens, New York (https://www.theshopsatskyviewny.com), announced today it will host a creative four-week "Skyview High"-themed series of events designed to immerse area teens and young adults in some of the most vibrant and captivating facets of Asian culture, art and food. From K-pop music and Japanese fashion to Chinese dim sum and more, the center will provide four "summer school"-style classes that give attendees an entertaining deep dive into the most popular aspects of Asian life. Skyview High events take place from late July through the end of August. Participants who take part in the first three events will have an opportunity to earn "credits" that will allow them to attend a by-invitation-only commencement ceremony on August 30th where K-pop sensation Kang Daniel will make a special appearance.
"We're inviting shoppers to take a stroll down memory lane with our Skyview High series of events this July and August," says Wesley Sin, regional marketing manager for Perform Properties, owner and manager of The Shops at Skyview. "We're especially thrilled to welcome K-pop star Kang Daniel as our special guest for the series' commencement exercise. Voted the No. 1 pick on the hit survival show 'Produce 101,' Kang became a global fan favorite and is well known for his signature school uniform – something that resonates with people from countries like South Korea, Japan, China and the Philippines where wearing a school uniform is a cherished part of growing up. We invite our Skyview High guests to re-create or embellish this look as they come back to 'school' this summer at The Shops at Skyview."
"I'm looking forward to connecting with my New York fans at the culmination of the Skyview High series of events this summer," says K-pop fan favorite Kang Daniel. "Seeing everyone in their most creative uniforms and enjoying the day with a very select group of guests who have earned their way to 'commencement' will be an incredible opportunity for me to meet some of my most dedicated supporters and to pay homage to all-things-Asian in the process."
