The SRG/ILS Group Extends And Expands Its Partnership With The Universal Music Group

The SRG/ILS Group finishes 2019 with its strongest schedule of releases yet. Since the SoNo Recording Group founded by Claude Villani and The Independent Label Services Group merged in 2017, the combined companies have grown at an impressive rate both in roster and sales. By the end of 2019 the company's revenues will have more than tripled since the merger.

The foundation of the SRG/ILS's line-up is R&B superstar Brian McKnight who released two singles for the label this year including the top 10 hit "When I'm Gone". Not to be outdone The Love King, Raheem DeVaughn, released his new album and SRG/ILS debut, The Love Reunion, on June 28th with the first single "Just Right" impacting the R&B charts currently perched at #7 on its way to the top 5. 2019 also saw the release of legendary songwriter and performer Gino Vannelli's first studio album of all originals in almost 10 years entitled Wilderness Road. In many ways Mr. Vannelli is the inspiration for not only the artists on the roster, but also SRG/ILS as a whole.

The amazing year is wrapping up with albums from award winning Canadian Jazz vocalist Diana Panton and singer songwriter and America's Got Talent finalist Mandy Harvey. Mandy's debut for SRG/ILS is a beautifully crafted album that highlights her unique talent and heartfelt songwriting.

Recently SRG/ILS announced the signing of three new artists which leads into making 2020 the busiest and most rewarding to date; Mike Phillips, Vivian Green, and Brave Williams. World-renowned instrumentalist and jazz saxophonist Mike Phillips is best known for his critically acclaimed albums, but you might know Mike from his many tours with Prince, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson not only as a member of the band, but as a featured soloist. The first single "Setembro" from his forthcoming new album, Pulling Off The Covers, will be available in November.

Since her debut release in 2002, Vivian Green has been a fixture in the R&B world with hit singles and top selling albums. Most recently Vivian had a top 10 Adult R&B Radio hit in January 2018 with the song "I Don't Know" from her album VGVI.

Sultry Hip Hop Soul singer and actress Brave Williams burst on the R&B scene in 2009 as a member of the group RICHGIRL. After the group disbanded in 2012, Brave recorded and released her debut solo EP Fearless in 2015 which included the song "Road Trippin".

Along with releases from Mike Phillips, Vivian Green, and Brave Williams, the first part of 2020 will also include new albums and singles from Brian McKnight, Bobby V, Avant, and Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men).
