The Trade Group, a Texas-based event marketing and creative design firm, handled all general contractor duties and creative services for Pokémon NAIC 2023, which was held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, June 30-July 2, 2023.
GRAPEVINE, Texas, July 20, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Trade Group, an award winning event marketing company was honored to be entrusted by The Pokémon Company International (TPCI) to provide all general contractor and creative services duties for the Pokémon 2023 North American International Championships (NAIC 2023). NAIC is the final event in Pokémon's 2023 Championship Series season, leading up to the 2023 Pokémon World Championships in Yokohama, Japan.
The event—held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio from June 30 through July 2, 2023— featured competitions for Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon Video Game Championship and Pokémon GO players. The Pokémon UNITE North America Regional Finals were also hosted during NAIC 2023.

As general contractor, The Trade Group was responsible for overseeing all services pertaining to the event, with duties ranging from furniture procurement and installation to network installation and management to rigging. Pokémon also engaged The Trade Group to design and build all creative elements for NAIC 2023, from stage design to numerous activations.
While The Trade Group has served as general contractor for Pokémon NAIC in years past, the scope of services the company provided did expand for 2023.
As Hajra explains, "Our latest scope increase included managing the 108,000 sq ft Pokémon Center, which included products fans can normally only buy online. We designed and built the store along with managing all of the operations—including all purchasing analytics—to help TPCI make informed decisions on future Pokémon Center installations."
