The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Has Arrived at DeMontrond
Texas City, TX (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado has arrived at DeMontrond Chevrolet.
“New from hood to hitch, the Silverado’s exterior is all-Chevrolet, with style that blends functionality and refinement unlike anything else in the segment,” said Tom Peters, exterior design director. “It wasn’t enough to simply restyle the Silverado. The design had to reinforce its mission to be stronger, smarter and more capable.”
Also new for the 2014 Silverado lineup is the addition of its first “premium branded” Chevy pickup since the Cameo Carrier in the 1950’s. With truck buyers searching more and more for that loaded out “luxury” truck, General Motors decided it was time to let the Silverado get in the game with the all new High Country trim level. Not to be outdone by the competition, GM will offer a unique, trim-specific chrome grille and chrome exhaust tips, a rear bumper with an integrated corner step, and halogen projector headlamps along with unique 20-inch alloy wheels, and a power sliding rear window.
Available only in crew cab configuration, High Country will be offered in both two and four-wheel drive vehicles, with the buyer's choice of V8 engines (5.3-liter or 6.2-liter) along with a five-foot, eight-inch or six-foot, six-inch box.
Appointed with an exclusive saddle brown premium leather interior with heated and cooled bucket seats that have the High Country logo embroidered on the headrests, the seating couldn’t be any more comfortable. Couple that with the MyLink connectivity system, which puts technology a voice command away, and an eight-inch touch screen, Bose premium audio, and a host of driver alert technologies such as lane departure and collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, rear vision camera system, and park assist, and GM is sure to have a winner in the “luxury” truck competition. With best in class MPG on a 5.3 liter V-8 engine, the Silverado does not sacrifice performance.
According to General Motors, “Our 5.3L EcoTec3 V-8 offers the proven power and dependability of our V-8 truck engines, with better highway fuel economy than a leading competitor's smaller turbocharged V-61. It combines tested technologies like Active Fuel Management, Direct Injection and continuously Variable Valve Timing to provide class-leading fuel efficiency3 with the peace of mind that comes with our reliable engine designs.”
Bigger and packing more muscle than ever before, the 2014 is sure to please the most discerning truck buyer. Chevrolet pickups have been around for more than 95 years because they deliver more than the competition, much like family owned DeMontrond® Chevrolet. They invite truck enthusiasts to come in and rediscover the Chevrolet Silverado, the all new High Country Silverado!
