The Aesthetic Surgery Center Introduces New Non-Surgical Skin Tightening Procedures

The first is called ThermiTight™, which is used to treat loose skin along the jawline, neck, upper arms, abdominal wall, thighs, and knees. The second is called ThermiSmooth™, which is used to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles skin around the eyelids, the mouth, and superficial crepy skin along the front of the neck.
According to Dr. Anurag Agarwal, the best candidates for these procedures are those who have loose skin and fine lines without significant excess fat.

This treatment can also be repeated in future years to treat progressive aging. A ThermiTight™ treatment consists of a fine temperature regulated probe that is inserted under the skin. This probe delivers heat to the subdermis and dermis, which creates skin tightening. Dr. Agarwal said the cost for the treatment varies based on the area treated. Typically, the cost ranges between $2,500 and $3,500 per treatment.
“This procedure can result in mild bruising and swelling lasting up to one week,” explained Dr. Agarwal. “In some areas of the body, there is no pain, and in other areas there is soreness that is controlled by pain medication. We usually apply a compressive garment to the treated area for the first couple of days.”
ThermiSmooth™ is performed on patients once a week for four initial treatments. The procedure consists of a temperature-regulated probe that is applied externally to the skin. The probe heats the skin to cause skin tightening and stimulate the production of collagen. Results are also seen within two to 12 months after the four initial treatments. Dr. Agarwal said that the initial four weekly ThermiSmooth™ treatments cost a total of $1,250, with one recommended maintenance treatment every six months thereafter that costs $325.
Dr. Agarwal said the decision to add these ThermiRF™ treatments was based on the increasing number of inquiries by patients regarding non-surgical skin tightening procedures. When other such treatments did not achieve consistent and predictable improvements, Dr. Agarwal said the excellent results afforded by ThermiRF™ treatments convinced him to add them to The Aesthetic Surgery Center. He said the precise way the heat is delivered directly under the skin to heat the dermis to 50-60 degrees centigrade is what creates such results.
