The AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix in Nurburgring, Germany - one of the biggest and most popular vintage car racing events celebrates its 41th anniversary this August
(PRWEB UK) 27 July 2013 -- The AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix is one of the biggest and most popular vintage car racing events in the world and this year the event celebrates its 41th anniversary. The AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix is famous for attracting large number of entries of drivers in all motorsport. Around 600 sports cars across 11 races will compete over the weekend across a combination of racetracks. The Nürburgring is made up of two racetracks: the notorious Nordschleife which was opened in 1927 as the “First Hilly Racing and Test Track” and the Grand Prix Circuit inaugurated in 1984. The two circuits, which can be driven around in combination, are together about 26 kilometres, making the Nürburgring the longest permanent racetrack in the world.

During the three days of this event, Friday to Sunday, the visitors can expect to see cars from all eras and classes from pre-war racing cars to the Formula 1 racers and touring cars of the 80‘s. The theme for the Jaguar stand this year is “Jaguar Legends Alive” and the visitors will have the chance to see some Jaguars that are considered the legends of the past, present and future. The models such as XK120, C/D/E/F-TYPE, C-X75 will be present as well as some current performance models such as XJR, XFR-S and XKR-S. Jaguar Heritage Racing is going to be represented by MK II, C- and E-Type and visitors would be able to purchase their Jaguar merchandise items in the paddock area.
