The Blackbird Academy Announces the Graduation of Their Inaugural Studio Engineering Class
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- Diplomas were awarded to students of The Blackbird Academy on Saturday, March 29th at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, TN. The ceremony was heavily attended by friends and family of the students who traveled to Nashville from all over North America.
Co-Director of Education, Mark Rubel, gave an encouraging speech to the students while the official commencement speech came from Institutional Director, John McBride. Along with a diploma, each graduate had the choice of receiving a Shure SM57 or an SM58 microphone. Michael Freeman was the recipient of the prestigious Platinum Award which is presented to one student from each Studio Engineering class. After a brief break, graduates will be starting internships at studios in multiple locations.

The Blackbird Academy will begin new Studio Engineering and Live Sound Engineering Classes on April 7th, July 7th and October 6th.

The Blackbird Academy Professional School of Audio is a post-secondary, mentor-based educational facility, offering Studio Engineering & Live Sound Engineering Programs where students are taught by professional instructors and award winning guest lecturers. Each of the programs is six months in length, with four start dates per year. Maximum enrollment is 30 students per class.
