The Control Group Welcomes President Steven Gray
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 06, 2017 -- Steven Gray has joined The Control Group as President of its online people search properties. As President, Gray will lead the company’s growth strategy while looking to innovate its core people finder product, extend its customer reach and elevate the customer experience.
After a long tenure and a series of increasingly responsible senior leadership roles with Harte-Hanks, Gray joined Money Mailer in 2007 as COO responsible for sales, IT, marketing, services and franchise operations. In this role, Gray’s main focus was transformational in nature, moving a 20-year traditional direct marketing operation into a multi-channel marketing powerhouse that supported over 30,000 small and medium-sized businesses nationwide. By introducing digital and mobile customer engagement strategies, Money Mailer was able to extend its customer reach and improve both acquisition and retention results.
After a successful PE acquisition of Money Mailer in 2010, Gray became COO of iLoop Mobile, transitioning the company from a pure SaaS company to a mobile marketing services leader. Gray oversaw sales, marketing and services and helped grow the company across new vertical markets in retail, healthcare and Latin America.
After growing the top-line revenue and creating a stellar customer base, iLoop was acquired in 2012. From there, Gray went on to join Peak Performance as COO and CRO. His core responsibilities were OEM management, field sales, OEM sales, marketing and account management. Gray led the growth of the company through new digital innovations and year-over-year account revenue increases from brands like Lexus, Porsche and VW. Peak Performance was successfully sold in 2016, and Gray began a successful private equity consulting practice, which led to the introductions of The Control Group’s founders, Kris Kibak and Joey Rocco.
In July 2017, Kibak and Rocco decided to bring Gray on as President to oversee the business operations for all company brand initiatives.
