Westwind Integrated Health (WIH) recently hosted a charity event for Purse Impressions, where members of the community donated over 100 purses to give to women graduating from rehabilitation centers. This practice, which provides treatment from primary care physicians and dentists under one roof, regularly participates in charities local to Phoenix, AZ as well as internationally. They were pleased to host an event for a charity founded by a patient of their practice, Patricia Bruscha.

Purse Impressions is a local Phoenix, AZ charity whose mission is to “gift graduates from rehab with a purse that celebrates their accomplishments, allowing them to move forward with dignity, strength, and the knowledge that someone cares.” Bruscha founded the charity in honor of her own daughter, who originated the idea before passing away from liver disease due to alcohol abuse. The charity provides purses, toiletries, and other items for women graduating from substance abuse treatment centers across the United States and Canada. Individuals can make monetary or product donations, in addition to installing a donation box in their workplace or community.
