The Drucker Institute and Udemy Announce Partnership
Claremont, Calif. (PRWEB) January 14, 2015 -- The Drucker Institute at Claremont Graduate University has announced a partnership with Udemy, the leading global marketplace for learning and teaching online, to provide a series of management courses based on Peter Drucker’s timeless wisdom.
Designed to be flexible and available on a wide variety mobile and desktop devices, the Drucker Institute’s courses on Udemy are ideal for management professionals seeking to improve their personal and organizational effectiveness at their own pace and without the constraints of a formal classroom setting.
The courses consist of a blend of lectures by Drucker Institute instructors, dynamic animations that help students visualize concepts, excerpted readings from Drucker books, original video and audio footage of Drucker himself and engaging activities that will get students moving quickly from theory to concrete results.
“Through Udemy, we are tying together the foundational principles of ‘the man who invented management’ with the latest in 21-century learning design and delivery,’” said Rick Wartzman, the Drucker Institute’s executive director. “My colleagues and I couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity.”
“Udemy is committed to helping adults get the necessary skills to survive and thrive in our global economy,” said Frank Visciano, Director of Content at Udemy. “Through this exciting partnership with the Drucker Institute, we are thrilled to help bring Peter Drucker’s management expertise to professionals around the world.”
The first Drucker Institute course, “Time Management: Know Thy Time,” builds upon a key part of Peter Drucker’s 1967 landmark book, The Effective Executive, and teaches students the importance of keeping track of their time, how to identify what Drucker called the “four big time-wasters” and how to set priorities as well as what Drucker called “posteriorities”—a kind of “not-to-do” list.
Soon to be added to Udemy’s Drucker offerings are courses on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship: How to Make Tomorrow” and “People Decisions: Managing Your Most Precious Assets.”
A rich pipeline will eventually deliver other courses on Drucker’s concepts of Planned Abandonment, Management by Objectives and Control vs. Controls.

About the Drucker Institute
The Drucker Institute is a social enterprise based at Claremont Graduate University. Our mission is strengthening organizations to strengthen society. Our programming—for the corporate, nonprofit and public sectors—is built on a foundation of YESTERDAY/TODAY/MONDAY* “Yesterday” refers to the fact that our work is grounded in Peter Drucker’s timeless wisdom. “Today” speaks to the urgency that we know organizational leaders feel to successfully meet their greatest challenges and opportunities. And “Monday” points to our proven ability to help executives move quickly from ideas to action to results, just as Drucker urged his own consulting clients: “Don’t tell me you had a wonderful meeting with me. Tell me what you’re going to do on Monday that’s different.” For more, visit http://www.druckerinstitute.com.
