Fibroid Statistics:
One study found that by age 50, 70 percent of whites and 80 percent of African Americans had fibroids. The NIH Fact Sheet on Uterine Fibroids states that, "Fibroids are an important public health concern, both because of the large number of women affected by them and the large number of hysterectomies undertaken to treat the symptoms they cause." One woman at a time, we are showing the world that we are empowered, and that we are driven to change our story!
Venable is a leading authority on fibroid treatment. She is the co-author of a scientific paper for the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology on fibroids, and co-author of two soon to be released publications on the national Compare-UF fibroid study that registered over 3,000 women in the U.S. She is a member of the ERAS Working Group of the American Congress of Obstetrics & Gynecology and has been featured in many leading media outlets, including The Washington Post, ThriveGlobal, Buzzfeed, HuffPost, and multiple podcasts.
