The Herrera Law Firm Announces Video Highlighting Fundraising Efforts for South Texas Hispanic Fund
San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) November 19, 2014 -- The Herrera Law Firm, a San Antonio personal injury law firm, today announced that attorney Jorge A. Herrera was featured in a video in which he spoke about the success of the recent Ringside SA event held on Nov. 7.
Ringside SA is a charity boxing event organized by the San Antonio Area Foundation that raises money for the South Texas Hispanic Fund. Herrera is chairman of the South Texas Hispanic Fund.
In the video, which can be viewed on YouTube, Herrera said proceeds will help fund grants for four program areas: 1) Arts and Culture, 2) Education, 3) Community Development, and 4) Health and Human Services.
“We have developed these four areas that we know need help in San Antonio and South Texas,” Herrera said. “The grants will improve the opportunities and lives of Hispanics living in our communities.”
Herrera and Chris Martinez, co-chairman of Ringside SA, both thanked the sponsors and boxers for their efforts. “This event is one of a kind in the city of San Antonio,” Martinez said.
About the South Texas Hispanic Fund
The South Texas Hispanic Fund was founded in 2007, in care of the San Antonio Area Foundation, with the goal of strengthening Hispanic involvement in philanthropy. The Fund oversees a community endowment established to help increase institutional responses to the needs of the local Hispanic population. Since 2007, the South Texas Hispanic Fund has distributed over $250,000 in grants to 50 nonprofit organizations.
