The Juggle Struggle is Real: KEYPER CEO Dana Robinson Gives Back to Women in Need With Functional Fashion and The KEYPIT Together Foundation
KEYPER CEO Dana Robinson gives back to women and children in need with KEYPER's KEYPIT Together Foundation.
NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- As this unprecedented year comes to a close, companies and consumers alike are reminded of the difficulties and hardships that accompanied it. Now, more than ever, many companies are vowing to give back and are shifting to a more purpose-driven mindset. KEYPER Co-Founder and CEO Dana Robinson, a recent honoree for the 2020 Women Rocking the Web Awards, is on a mission to help those in need with the newly formed KEYPIT Together Foundation.
KEYPER Co-Founder & CEO, Dana Robinson, and her mother Sally created KEYPER, the original key ring bracelet, after an "aha" moment in the grocery store when Sally was afraid that her too-heavy purse could easily get stolen if she set it down. After using KEYPER daily, Dana realized that it was so much more than just a key ring – it was a product that helped women "KEYPIT Together." She decided that there was even more she could be doing to help women across the country and the KEYPIT Together Foundation was born.
According to the National Law Review, divorce rates were up 34% this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a single mom and entrepreneur, Dana Robison knows how difficult it is to find yourself in unforeseen, challenging situations. Her past experience led her to join forces with her friend, Elizabeth Dodd, to launch the KEYPIT Together Foundation, a nonprofit whose goal is to offer aid to women and children going through financial, professional and personal hardships.
The foundation helps women and their children "keep it together" through donations, community outreach and volunteering during a time of unexpected life challenges. The KEYPIT Together Foundation provides help and guidance to women who might not be fortunate enough to have a support system during a crisis.
KEYPER is proud to donate 5% its profits to the KEYPIT Together Foundation. Additionally, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Louisville based KEYPIT Together Foundation donated 10% of sales to the Louisville Center for Women and Families, an organization providing trauma-informed advocacy and support for individuals, families and communities affected by intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
This donation helped to provide long-stay hotel rooms for women serving as essential workers during the pandemic.
"I know first-hand how difficult life can be when something unexpected happens. There are no words to describe the fear I had when I found myself going through a difficult divorce with a four- and six-year-old. If I hadn't had the help and support of friends and family, I could not have 'kept it together.' I want to provide that for any women and children in need,'" said Robinson.
Needless to say, KEYPER was built by the determination of strong women. The KEYPER brand is all about empowering women to stay organized and secure in all facets of life. KEYPER accessories offer consumers with a mix of function, fashion and security. Their commitment to helping others with the KEYPIT Together Foundation offers women and children so much more through support, guidance and friendship. Dana Robinson and KEYPER are following through with their mission to help people "keep it together", even in a year like this.
