"We are so grateful for this donation so that we can better serve our clients. Thank you so much to James Scott Farrin for this," said Anna Meadows, Board Chair for Safe Space Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program in Franklin County, NC.

The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin announced that it has given more than 80 computers to local charities. The three organizations that received machines are the Kramden Institute, the Franklin County Domestic Violence Center, and Mi Casa Community Services.

The Kramden Institute collects, refurbishes, and awards computers to students and families without a computer in their homes. The organization also helps students by teaching them critical computing, software, and Internet skills. They received 74 computers from the firm. “Kramden is a non-profit that provides technology tools and training to bridge the digital divide. Computers that are refurbished by Kramden are distributed to students, low-income adults, and community organizations in need,” said a spokesperson for the charity.

The Franklin County Domestic Violence Center requested and received three computers from the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin. We truly appreciate what you have done for our nonprofit organization," said Anna Meadows, Board Chair for Safe Space Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program in Franklin County, NC.

Mi Casa Community Services requested and received four computers from the firm, which will help them continue their mission to offer domestic legal service, immigration services, interpretation, and other support to the Hispanic communities of Forsyth and surrounding counties. “Mi Casa's staff and volunteers are very grateful for the donation! We plan to place the computers throughout our office for our staff and volunteers to better aid our community. We also want to make them available directly for our community who may need access to a computer, whether it's to attend virtual classes or fill out an online job application,” said a statement from the charity.

The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin made the donations over the past few weeks. The computers became available as a result of the firm’s move to a more remote-capable working structure in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.
