The Leading Hotels of the World in Europe Announces Summer 2014 Golf Offers
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 24, 2014 -- Mention golf in Europe, and many people conjure up images of Scotland, Portugal’s Algarve or southern Spain. But there are other countries on the Continent – Austria, France, Germany and Switzerland – that also offer outstanding courses, some of which are found at, or very near, members of Leading Hotels. This summer, why not tee it up at one of these resorts?
The Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is the only resort in Switzerland to have two golf courses of its own. The long-established 18-hole PGA Championship Course has been a venue on the annual European Seniors Tour for more than 18 years, and has been endorsed by the Golf Course Association as the only one in Switzerland to be awarded 5 stars. Perfect for beginners, the 9-hole Executive Course with Golf Academy offers ideal practice facilities. Experts will find that the course offers a particular challenge for their short game skills. Each golf course has its own golf shop and restaurant. From now until October 30, 2014, the hotel is offering a three-night Leading Stay and Play package priced at CHF 520 per night, single; CHF 698 per night, double; which includes a welcome drink; daily buffet breakfast; two 18-hole green fees per person, per stay; high-speed Internet access; access to the Tamina Therme, tax and VAT.
In the center of the skiing area of Villars, the Chalet RoyAlp Hôtel & Spa boasts direct access to the slopes in winter and golfing in summer. It combines alpine-style interior furnishings and a modern setting with views of the Swiss Alps. A beautifully scenic 18-hole golf course located at 1600 meters above sea level allows guests to play golf in the heart of the mountains, with views of Mont Blanc. Other sporting facilities and venues include an educational woodland walk with a picnic hut; Nordic walking trails; a sport centre with ice rink, a swimming pool and climbing walls. Golfers and non-golfers alike can take advantage of the hotel’s breakfast inclusive offer, priced from CHF 380 per night, single or double, which includes daily buffet breakfast, access to the spa with swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and fitness room; access to the cinema room; and shuttle service to town. This package is available through March 2015.
The Interalpen-Hotel Tyrol is located in a nature reserve area in the Tyrolean Alps close to the charming city of Innsbruck, and not far from the famous castle of Neuschwanstein. This luxury resort at the Seefeld high plateau is the ideal destination for golf holidays in Tyrol. Just a 15-minute drive away is the challenging 18-hole Seefeld-Wildmoos golf course, set 1,300 meters above sea level. Golfers can also practice their swing whatever the weather in one of Austria’s most modern indoor golf facilities and perfect their game on the golf simulator. A handicap or golf proficiency certificate is required to use the facility. The hotel’s Leading Stay and Play offer is available from April 30 to October 30, 2014. Priced from EUR 1067, single, and EUR 1574, double, it includes three nights’ accommodation in a studio deluxe room; daily buffet breakfast; one rock-oil bath per person; one 25-minute massage per person; two green fees per room, per stay; daily six-course main meal; tax and service charge.
