NEW YORK, Dec. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Mission Continues has received three new investments from long-time funding partners Wounded Warrior Project, the Bob Woodruff Foundation, and The Kendeda Fund to fuel their work and expanding veterans' programs through 2021.
These grants will provide a strong foothold for the veterans' nonprofit as they invest in a rising movement of veterans creating meaningful impact in under-resourced communities through continued service. The Mission Continues, founded in 2007, empowers veterans to continue their service and empowers communities with veteran talent, skills and preparedness to generate visible impact.

Wounded Warrior Project, a long-time Mission Partner of The Mission Continues, has renewed its grant to support various veteran empowerment and leadership programs across the country. This includes support of the Women Veterans Leadership Program, Operation Bayou City Blitz, Service Leadership Corps Expansion, and the Service Platoon Leadership Training Program. Additionally, the organizations will partner together to engage and serve veterans residing in rural communities.
The Bob Woodruff Foundation will be a co-presenting sponsor of Operation Bayou City Blitz, in which 100 veterans will travel to Houston for a week of service and Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. This gift is made possible by a partnership between the Bob Woodruff Foundation and the Qatar Harvey Fund to support veterans affected by Hurricane Harvey.
The Kendeda Fund, a first-time funder in 2018, has renewed its support of the organization's Service Platoon Program, providing three years of funding to fuel program expansion and the creation of a platoon leadership development program.
These investments highlight each organization's deep commitment to veterans' empowerment and will have a positive impact on hundreds of veteran participants pursuing community-based leadership and personal development in 56 cities nationwide.
