The National Economists Club Announces Dr. Dale Jorgenson as Herb Stein Memorial Lecture Speaker
Dr. Jorgenson is Samuel W. Morris University Professor, Harvard University, and will be speaking on "The World Economy and the G20."
WASHINGTON, Oct. 31, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The National Economists Club is excited to announce Dr. Dale Jorgenson, Samuel W. Morris University Professor, Harvard University, will provide the Herb Stein Memorial lecture at the National Economists Club's 51st Annual Dinner. The dinner and lecture will be held on November 7th at Embassy of the Netherlands.
Dr. Jorgenson is the Samuel W. Morris University Professor at Harvard University. He was awarded the prestigious John Bates Clark Medal by the American Economic Association in 1971 and served as President of the Association in 2000. He has conducted groundbreaking work on information technology and economic growth, energy and the environment, tax policy and investment behavior, and applied econometrics. He is the author of more than 300 articles in economics and the author and editor of 37 books. We will leave the final word to his mentee, Ben Bernanke, who described him as "brilliant" in Bernanke's memoir of the financial crisis. (Read more here).
