The Performance Institute and AGA Host Virtual Government Performance Summit
Washington, DC (PRWEB) February 12, 2015 -- Registration is now open as The Performance Institute (PI) joins AGA to present the 15th Annual Government Performance Summit in Washington D.C. New this year, participants can attend the annual conference virtually from anywhere in the country, allowing for a full-scale conference experience without further stretching already tight budgets.
The two-day summit takes place on May 4 and 5 at the Marriott Metro Center, Washington D.C. and is expected to draw hundreds of performance management professionals. Meanwhile, virtual attendees will be able to log in via their computers, tablets, or smartphones, and attend the event in real-time. Virtual attendees will be able to listen to speakers, view presentations, ask questions, and access sponsor information.
This year’s theme, “Putting Performance to Work,” emphasizes the effort of professionals in all levels of government and in the private sector who use performance information in critical organizational processes such as budgeting, resource allocation, employee motivation, contracting, and improving services. This year’s event presents financial and performance professionals with hands-on workshops on improving program effectiveness and updates regarding the newest innovations in grants, budgeting, performance, finance, and more.
“Today’s executives and managers recognize the impact that the use of performance information can have on planning and day-to-day operations. With this event, we will highlight programs and organizations that are improving missions through the use of performance information and the tools they are using to achieve their goals,” explains Diane Denholm, PI’s Executive Director.
“We are looking forward to working once again with PI,” says Ann M. Ebberts, AGA Chief Executive Officer. “GPS takes financial and performance professionals beyond traditional approaches to new and innovative strategies that not only monitor goals, but use performance information to inform decision making and drive mission success.”
Whether an individual plans to attend the summit in person or virtually, registration is now open for the 15th Annual Government Performance Summit in Washington D.C. Learn more at http://www.governmentperformance.org.
