The Radiosurgery Society® Launches 2020 RSS Virtual Scientific Meeting

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 8, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Radiosurgery Society (RSS), a non-profit medical society dedicated to advancing the science and clinical practice of radiosurgery, today announced the start of its 2020 RSS Virtual Scientific Meeting. On demand access to the virtual meeting is available to registrants from June 22-December 31, 2020 at http://www.rssmeetings.org.

This year's meeting will feature access to more than 100 video presentations and electronic posters on stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy and advancing therapies, and feature leading experts in radiation oncology, immunotherapy, neurosurgery, medical physics, and medical oncology from around the world. Registration fees include access to all online sessions and maximum of 23.25 CME/CE credits, along with a complimentary GRID/Lattice, Flash and Microbeam radiation therapies virtual session. This year's 2020 RSS Virtual Meeting kicked off with two free Showdown Debate webinars: "SBRT for Ultra-Central Lung Tumors," presented by Gregory Videtic, M.D., Alexander Louie, M.D., Ph.D., and Percy Lee, M.D. held live online on June 9, 2020, and "SBRT vs Brachytherapy for Prostate Cancer," presented by Glenn Bauman, M.D., Andrew Loblaw, M.D., Shankar Siva, Ph.D., M.B.B.S., F.R.A.N.Z.C.R., and Debra Freeman, M.D., held live on May 26, 2020. Archived videos of these Showdown Debates are available to registrants of the 2020 RSS Virtual Meeting.

The 2020 RSS Virtual Scientific Meeting has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and the Radiosurgery Society, enabling participants to receive Continuing Education credits. Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 23.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for physicians and 23.25 contact hours for nurses. For Physicists, the virtual meeting has been submitted to the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs, Inc., and for dosimetrists, his activity has been approved for 23.25 continuing education credits by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board.
