The Rhythm of Business Principals to Present Webinar for Alliance Professionals
Newton, MA (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- Janice Twombly, CSAP, president of Boston-area alliance and collaboration management consultancy The Rhythm of Business, Inc., and Jeffrey Shuman, CSAP, Ph.D., principal of The Rhythm of Business and professor of management at Bentley University, will present a Web seminar on October 30, 2013, entitled “Beyond the Health Check: Implementing an Alliance Operational Effectiveness Program.” This webinar is presented by The Rhythm of Business, Inc., and by the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP), and is part of the ASAP Webinar Series.
The webinar, which will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET on October 30, will use as its starting point the concept of the “alliance health check,” a tool many strategic alliance professionals are familiar with and have used some version of to manage and measure their own business alliances. As Twombly noted, however, “Too often, such exercises merely focus on the rather fuzzy notion of ‘fit’ between partners and the general sense of satisfaction among alliance stakeholders. But what if we could measure how an alliance is actually running, and whether it’s delivering any of the results promised at its inception?”
Twombly and Shuman will answer that question and take the basic alliance health check to the next level by outlining their own proprietary VitalSigns™ assessment, which is intended to provide a comprehensive view of where an alliance is running smoothly and fulfilling its promise, and where the metrics show gaps in perceptions between partners of alliance operations and results. More specifically, the presenters will show how to implement an assessment that will produce a set of metrics that can be tracked and compared over time, as well as how to implement and operationalize an ongoing alliance effectiveness program that answers such critical questions as:
• Is the alliance generating the outcomes both partners seek?
• Is the alliance’s operating environment conducive to generating outstanding outcomes?
• What strategic tensions are adversely affecting the alliance’s operations?
• Is the collaboration among alliance team members effectively leveraging the resources and currencies of the partners to produce outstanding outcomes?
