Jodi Demko joins The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay as Director of Leisure Travel Sales. Demko was previously the Director of Sales, Travel Industry at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe for over 10 years growing the resort’s leisure sales revenue year over year and was an opening team member. With over 20 years of sales experience, Demko’s prior roles included Senior Sales Manager, Travel Industry for Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino; Business Travel Sales Manager at the Park Hyatt, San Francisco and Group Sales Manager at the Grand Hyatt, San Francisco. Throughout her hospitality career, Demko has received many awards and accolades for her leadership achievements including a nomination for The Ritz-Carlton Global Elite Award: Global Sales Leader of the Year in 2016; a winner of the Transient Sales Team of the Year West Coast award in 2013 and The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe Leader of the Quarter in 2013. Demko graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of New Hampshire and was a high school state champion swimmer.
Darren Warner recently joined The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay as Director of Engineering. Warner’s engineering career spans over 25 years where he has led engineering teams all over the world including in the Middle East, United States and Europe. Before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, Warner was the Director of Engineering at The Abu Dhabi EDITION Hotel —the Middle East’s first EDITION branded property—and was a member of the opening team.
In this position, Warner was ranked number three in the region within six months of opening across the Marriott brand for maintenance and upkeep and implemented an in-house, purified water bottling system reducing the hotel’s waste and use of plastics. As the Director of Engineering at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz Carlton Hotel in Muscat, Oman, Warner improved the hotel’s facilities well-functioning score by 3.5% year over year and maintained a 98% completion with the hotel’s engineering asset management system. At the helm of the engineering department at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch and Destination Club, he reduced the property’s energy consumption by 28% over three years. Prior to his first move to America to serve as Director of Engineering at the Denver Marriott Southeast followed by the Denver Marriott City Center, Warner was the Director of Engineering and U.K. Cluster Leader at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square. In his spare time, Warmer enjoys working on and modifying vehicles as well as fitness activities.
