The Silberg Center for Dental Science Welcomes Dr. Katherine L. Roll
PITTSBURGH (PRWEB) August 23, 2018 -- The Silberg Center for Dental Science is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Katherine Roll! Dr. Roll embodies the standard of excellence long held by Dr. Mark Silberg and his team at The Silberg Center for Dental Science. Dr. Katherine Roll is excited to return to Pittsburgh and to be joining Dr. Mark Silberg, at The Silberg Center for Dental Science. She grew up in the North Hills and graduated from Shady Side Academy. For her undergraduate education, she attended Cornell University and majored in Biology. Dr. Roll received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Rutgers University. She then went on to complete a residency program in periodontics at the prestigious University of Washington, in Seattle, earning her certificate in periodontics, certification in IV sedation, and a Master of Science in Dentistry.
While at the University of Washington, Dr. Roll became well versed in gum reconstruction, dental implant surgery (including full mouth “teeth-in-a day”), bone and sinus reconstruction, periodontally accelerated osteogenic orthodontics (PAOO), and other periodontal plastic surgical procedures. Her training focused extensively on comprehensive, full mouth and rehabilitative care. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Roll was involved in clinical research investigating the success of dental implants in well-controlled vs. poorly-controlled Type 2 diabetics. She plans to publish her results.
Dr. Roll enjoys interacting with patients and is committed to providing the highest quality, periodontal care. She is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, and the American Dental Association. In her free time, she enjoys running, skiing, cooking, traveling, cheering on the Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Mark Silberg has already been named as one of the region's top dentists from 2007-2018. His office is recognized throughout the entire Pittsburgh area as one of the best destinations for high-quality dental care. It would seem that with the addition of Dr. Roll, The Silberg Center for Dental Science will remain the leader in Periodontics for the foreseeable future!
