NEW YORK and AMSTERDAM, Oct. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- NYC's One Bag Tag and Netherlands-based BAGTAG officially announced today a groundbreaking cooperation, propelling the airline Electronic Baggage Tag (EBT) industry to soaring new heights.

Ironically though, the two companies were once direct competitors.

Since 2014, BAGTAG has led the way in digital baggage tag software and hardware, which is today used by multiple major airlines across the world.

Simultaneously, One Bag Tag has focused on affordable yet pioneering hardware, creating the world's first battery-free electronic baggage tag. The company is part of a family of premium air travel brands awarded "#1 in Travel" by Inc. 500.

With One Bag Tag and BAGTAG signing into cooperation, the world's first multi-solution EBT platform has become a reality. The platform, called BAGTAG BRIDGE, allows passengers to choose between different electronic baggage tags and use them across various airlines around the globe—an unprecedented concept in the air travel industry.

The platform, developed and managed by BAGTAG, is specifically designed to easily and securely integrate with airlines' existing systems. Airlines that connect to BAGTAG BRIDGE grant their passengers the flexibility to choose the EBT that fits their needs best, and then use that EBT on any airline in the BRIDGE network.
