NEW YORK (PRWEB) April 04, 2019
On March 15th, The TASC Group, a New York City-based, full service public relations and communications firm dedicated to advancing mission-driven organizations, won the PR News’ Nonprofit Award for best Crisis Management campaign for its crisis and advocacy communications work with the organization Yeshivat Maharat. Yeshivat Maharat hired The TASC Group to help protect the role of female Rabbis (Rabbas) within the Orthodox Jewish community and prevent the expulsion of Rabbas currently serving in shuls and synagogues around the country. The PR News’ CSR & Nonprofit Awards Luncheon annually recognizes and celebrates “the communicators that work hard to make the world a better place.”
“We are extremely humbled to have won this award from PR News,” said Larry Kopp, President & CEO of The TASC Group. “It’s truly a testament to the extraordinary clients we work with, who fight every day for their communities and promote programs and projects that make a difference. It’s been a privilege to partner with Yeshivat Maharat and play a small role in the work it does.”
In the past five years, the public relations and communications firm won five additional awards in the field of Crisis Communications, all from the Public Relations Society of America. This included three Big Apple Awards in Crisis Communications in 2018, 2017, and 2014; a Big Apple Award in Crisis Communications for Business in 2017; and a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence in Crisis Communications in 2014. In addition, The TASC Group received honorable mentions this year from PR News in two categories, Media Relations and PR on a Shoestring Budget.
In the past, The TASC Group has worked with some of the most noteworthy clients in America on crisis communications to promote progressive and timely causes. TASC has represented Trayvon Martin’s family and legal team, Charlottesville’s Susan Bro and the Heather Heyer Foundation, Maria Contreras-Sweet in her efforts to buy The Weinstein Company and Park51 (more publicly known as the Ground Zero Mosque). The PR firm’s clients work on campaigns and issues such as women’s empowerment, human trafficking, environmental sustainability, ocean research and exploration, arts and documentary filmmaking, promoting diversity in politics and corporate industries, union organizing, public education and many more.
