The Trade Group, an award winning, event marketing and creative design firm, is pleased to announce that it has been named a finalist in three categories for EXHIBITOR Magazine’s Portable Modular Awards. The judging panel, comprised of marketing and design experts, evaluated entries based on aesthetics, functionality and innovation. Winners will be announced online and at EXHIBITORLIVE in March of 2020.

For the category of Best Island Exhibit Less Than 600 square feet, The Trade Group was recognized for the 20’x20’ island display utilized by bakery product manufacturer Bridor at the National Restaurant Association Show. The exhibit included a realistic looking and fully functioning kitchen with oven, cooling racks and freezer, as well as an underlit display case and working space for Bridor’s chef.
The Trade Group was also named a finalist in the Best Island Exhibit Less Than 600 square feet category for the 20’x20’ display designed for Google Nest smart home products, which was used at the Keller Williams MegaCamp show. Each day The Trade Group installed a different scene in the branded space—kitchen, home office and bedroom—to highlight the many ways Nest products could be used at home and in everyday life.
In the Best In-Line Exhibit category, The Trade Group earned a finalist nod for the 10’x20’ display designed for Nissin, a Japanese food manufacturer that specializes in instant noodles. The in-line, used at TwitchCon 2019, included the same bright colors featured in the client’s product packaging. The Trade Group also integrated a fun photo opp with life-size, LED-lit, hanging “noodles” that attendees were encouraged to share on social media.
“Each of these projects came with unique goals and challenges, which our creative team readily embraced. We were delighted that these clients trusted us to bring their visions to life—from both a design and a functional perspective—and are grateful to the Portable and Modular Awards judges for recognizing our teams’ efforts,” Chavez says.
