Innovative new platform infuses existing tools and services with reputation and trust for the secure sharing of data

We’ve cracked the code to make it easy for learners, education institutions, content publishers, and vendors to infuse their products and services with trust by leveraging the power of blockchain without having to cope with the technology’s underlying complexities.

The Trust Assurance Network today announced the launch of its Trust-as-a-Service platform, the industry’s first and only blockchain-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and portfolio of services that deliver a simple, powerful, and secure means of data exchange for the learning ecosystem and beyond. In addition to the launch of its solutions and platform, the company has announced $2.5 million in a round of seed funding from Blue Book Ventures and multiple other individual investors.

The Trust Assurance Network provides what organizations need to build applications at scale, including APIs, a stable token, and a records-transaction component. Unlike other blockchain solutions that focus solely on payments or learning records, the Trust Assurance Network is capable of securing any credential, skill, donation, payment, achievement, or other data log that needs to be recorded and tracked.

“For the educational ecosystem, we wanted to accurately record achievements of learners while keeping individual learners’ data private, and there is a deep need in the education ecosystem for solutions that make it simple to securely exchange data and value of all kinds across the campus footprint,” said Bart Meltzer, founder and CEO of the Trust Assurance Network. “We’re confident that we’re the first to have cracked the code to make it easy for learners, education institutions, content publishers, and vendors to infuse their products and services with trust by leveraging the power of blockchain without having to cope with the technology’s underlying complexities.”

The Trust Assurance Network is a cryptographically secure, blockchain-based platform that delivers a layer of trust for transactions of all kinds. No matter what data points need to exchange hands – funds, student records, donations, payments, financial statements, voting records, certifications, or just about anything – the platform enables safe, transparent, and compliant transactions for a broad variety of industries and applications. Current providers of secure digital records can now utilize the broader set of trust relations provided by the Trust Assurance Network to interact with multiple on-campus and off-campus services.

With today’s launch, the Trust Assurance Network offers three categories of services for general availability:

  • Trust-as-a-Service – The Trust Assurance Network’s portfolio of Trust-as-a-Service products infuse existing service platforms with a layer of trust, enabling organizations, individuals, and merchants to interact confidently with each other via a secure and transparent solution. Services such Sovereign ID, Trusted Loyalty and Rewards programs, and Trusted Notary services are part of this category.
  • Transaction Services – The Trust Assurance Network provides a set of secure exchange platforms that deliver a completely secure and transparent mechanism for organizations of all sizes to interact with total confidence. These include custom marketplaces and secure donation services.
  • Learning and Development Services – The Trust Assurance Network has also developed services specifically for learning and development. The Mobile Content Publisher platform is a powerful white-label mobile learning platform that allows publishers and organizations who need to verify their employees have learned specific content to input their existing content (textbooks, fiction, standard operating procedures, training manuals, etc.) and have the system automatically divide the content into sections of any desired length. The system then uses AI to develop questions that serve to verify that the student read and understood the material. Publishers can develop their own custom white labeled instance of this platform and take advantage of a robust set of tools. “As a former college president and long-time investor in the education market, I know how critical trust and reputation are for this ecosystem,” said Richard Moran, managing partner at Blue Book Ventures and an investor in the Trust Assurance Network. “The Trust Assurance Network meets this critical need in a simple and powerful way.”
