The Village at Orchard Ridge Named a High-Performing Facility and Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report
WINCHESTER, Va. (PRWEB) February 25, 2019 -- The Village at Orchard Ridge—A National Lutheran Community has been ranked as a top facility by U.S. News & World Report for the community’s quality of overall care, considering both long-term residents and short-stay patients, including evaluations of medical quality, nurse staffing, health inspections and rehabilitation therapy. U.S. News & World Report evaluated over 15,000 facilities nationwide.
The methodology for evaluation placed emphasis on nurse staffing, health inspection, and quality of care measures. In addition to these, nursing homes were assessed based on the appropriateness of the therapy minutes provided to their residents as well as the consistency of their reported nurse staffing across self-reported and payroll-based reporting systems. In addition, this year, the rating system was altered to place even more emphasis on staffing quality. Furthermore, because The Village at Orchard Ridge received a high-performing rating in the overall category, the maximum possible score, the Best Nursing Home designation was awarded.
“We are beyond blessed for our service-driven team culture, where values and dedication are paramount to the quality of care we bring to each resident. Each team member brings a heart of service into our community every day. We are truly honored to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report for the quality of care we’ve worked so hard to provide to our residents over the past six years,” said Executive Director, Melissa Fortner.
