Theodore (Ted) Clayton Joins WeldComputer as Director of Sales
TROY, N.Y. (PRWEB) May 02, 2018 -- WeldComputer Corporation announced today that Ted Clayton has been hired as the company’s Director of Sales. In his new position, Clayton will be responsible for sales and marketing planning, as well managing overall marketing efforts. His scope of duties will include growing new end user and channel partner relationships, managing distributors and creating direct sales.
With over 30 years of experience serving Fortune 500 manufacturing, small and mid-market industrial companies, Clayton brings broad experience in sales, marketing, program management and strategic planning. This skill set will help WeldComputer continue to open new markets as the company expands beyond its original focus on aerospace, defense and military, into a broad spectrum of markets including medical, electronics, automotive, appliance, industrial and general manufacturing.

Clayton comes to WeldComputer from Facility Solutions Group, a national electrical contractor specializing in LED lighting rollouts, where he was regional director of sales. Before that, he spent nearly 25 years at Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation, where he managed strategic initiatives, technology marketing and business for the company. He holds a Master of Business Administration and Technology Management from the University of Phoenix in Arizona, and earned a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering at Union College in Schenectady, NY.
