Third-Annual World Medical Cannabis Conference & Expo Heads East to Philadelphia
The large-scale medical conference hosted by Compassionate Certification Centers is expected to draw record-breaking crowds at its new Philadelphia venue, July 12-13, 2019, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Compassionate Certification Centers, a physician-owned national medical cannabis healthcare network, today announced its third-annual World Medical Cannabis Conference & Expo (WMCC Expo) will move to Philadelphia, July 12-13, 2019, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch St., in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Compassionate Certification Centers established and hosted the 2017 and 2018 WMCC Expos in Pittsburgh, as the first large-scale, physician-led cannabis business conferences. The decision to move the nationally covered event to Philadelphia is due to Compassionate Certification Centers expansion into the northeast corridor.
The company provides CBD and medical cannabis evaluations and certifications, with eight offices in western Pennsylvania and plans to open locations in Lackawanna, Philadelphia, and West Chester counties in 2019.
"Compassionate Certification Centers is proud to have served tens of thousands of medical cannabis patients over the past year," stated co-founder Dr. Bryan Founder. "Medical cannabis has been a desperately needed treatment for so many. The growth of our company and event will help ensure patients have adequate access and support as we continue to work with regulators and researchers to provide the highest level of care."
A progressive leader in medical cannabis therapies, Compassionate Certification Centers recently launched its own line of THC-free CBD products, available to patients and non-cardholders.
Pennsylvania currently has more than 80,000 registered medical cannabis patients. In 2018, the state updated its program to include the sale of marijuana flower, expanded the list of qualifying conditions from 17 to 21, and issued permits to an additional 23 dispensaries. Once operational, Pennsylvania will have a total of 79 dispensaries statewide.
The WMCC Expo will address these new regulations and the overall growth of the industry on a local, national, and international scale. Record-breaking crowds are expected at the third-annual event, including hundreds of exhibitors and high-profile medical, financial, sports and cannabis industry speakers.
