BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 8, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- This is Alabama is releasing a video today paying tribute to all the unsung heroes across our state and reminding Alabamians that united, they are strong and resilient.
Alabama's mayors have steered their communities through these unchartered waters, and This is Alabama reached out to every mayor in the state for their help in telling their story or leadership and resilience.
This new video features mayors from across the state including Mayor Tommy Battle in Huntsville and Mayor Randall Woodfin in Birmingham to Mayor Steven Reed in Montgomery and Mayor Sandy Stimpson in Mobile.
With everything they else they've had going on to try to keep their citizens safe and re-open their cities, we can't thank them enough for taking to time to narrate Alabama's story and share encouraging words.
"Remember, behind every dark cloud, there is sunshine," Mayor William E. Cooper in Enterprise tells us. "We will overcome this pandemic called coronavirus, and we will have our chance to shine again."
"Alabamians are tough, resilient and have withstood worse times," Mayor Bob Bunting of Ozark reminds us. "I have no doubt that we, as a community, will come out of this better and stronger than we were before."
And this from Mayor Rudy Rooks of Heflin: "The people of Alabama are strong, and we will persevere. It will take some time for our economy to recover, but it will... Stay safe, and remember, always be nice."
