PORTLAND, Maine (PRWEB) October 23, 2019
Three properties in Olympia Hotel Management’s portfolio have been singled out in Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards 2019. Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine has secured the prestigious number two spot among the Top 25 Resorts in New England while The Glen House, the award-winning 68-room boutique hotel that opened one year ago at the base of Mt. Washington, was also honored as one of the Top Hotels in New England. The Alfond Inn at Rollins in Winter Park, Florida was named one of the Top 5 Hotels in Florida.
“It is a true honor to be in the number two spot amongst the 25 finest properties in New England,” stated Michael Briggs, General Manager at Inn by the Sea. “This award is an inspiration to our staff and encourages them to continue to try and exceed expectations for each guest. It is a great recognition of our dedicated team.”
A stylish and modern take on traditional shingled coastal resorts, Inn by the Sea offers a perfect combination of relaxed seaside getaway in a naturally beautiful coastal setting, a mile of pristine sand beach, rejuvenating sea-inspired SPA, heated pool and captivating local cuisine in ocean view Sea Glass restaurant. The Inn is only minutes from Portland’s urban chic, small port city with shopping, galleries and water activities.
The Glen House, the award-winning 68-room boutique hotel that opened just one year ago at the base of Mt. Washington, has also been named one of the Top Hotels in New England.
“It’s an honor to be named among the top properties in New England by Condé Nast Traveler,” said Thomas Spaulding, General Manager of The Glen House. “The hotel is truly unique but this award is really about our fine team and the efforts they make to exceed expectations for each guest.”
Owned by the Mt. Washington Summit Road Company (MWSRC) and managed by Olympia Hotel Management, The Glen House is just 30 minutes from North Conway and situated near the Mt. Washington Auto Road, which the family-owned MWSRC has operated since 1906. The heart of The Glen House is a welcoming great room that extends from the lobby to a sitting area with a towering stone fireplace, an open bar area and massive windows framing a view of Mt Washington and neighboring peaks in the Presidential Range. The Glen House restaurant, The Notch Grille, and the adjacent bar and outdoor patio with fire pit are the ideal places to sip a local brew and enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Washington after a day outdoors.
The Alfond Inn at Rollins has been singled out yet again as a top hotel in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2019.
“We feel privileged to be recognized once more by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler,” said Jesse Martinez, General Manager of The Alfond Inn at Rollins. “The hotel is a unique property with an artistic and philanthropic focus at its core. These awards are a reflection of our remarkable team, who deliver outstanding service every single day.”
The 112-room independently-owned boutique hotel is located in the heart of historic Winter Park, close to Orlando. Owned by Rollins College, The Alfond Inn is distinguished by its philanthropic mission, directing all of its net operating income to scholarships. Additionally, it is the only hotel in the United States that serves as a formal extension of an art museum, exhibiting a rotating collection of 350-plus artworks from the College’s Cornell Fine Arts Museum and its Alfond Collection of Contemporary Art.
