BOSTON (PRWEB) February 12, 2020
Rendever, a virtual reality company dedicated to reducing social isolation and depression in the aging population through shared, immersive experiences, announced today that they will be the newest technology showcased at the world-renowned Thrive Center today.
The Thrive Center, based in Louisville, KY, is a 7,500 square foot space that features innovative technology and specialized programming to improve the aging process. Their mission is to transform the quality of life and quality of care for the more than 111 million U.S. citizens age 50 plus and 46 million ages 65 and older.
“We’re delighted to welcome Rendever to the Thrive Center,” says Sheri Rose, CEO and Executive Director of Thrive Center. “What’s special about our space is that when people visit, they can feel and experience all of the best aging-focused technology for themselves. The social component of Rendever’s platform is particularly compelling. I was able to participate in a group VR session myself and it’s amazing how organically we all started sharing memories and making connections with one another. I can’t wait for our guests to have the opportunity to try it out!”
From senior living communities to hospitals, Rendever’s platform is being used to reduce depression and loneliness by fostering personal connections amongst populations where life has become limited. Participants in group sessions can check off bucket list items together, revisit meaningful places and share stories, stay engaged with family members, and more. Rendever is active in nearly 150 communities and organizations, and is being used by high-profile senior living operators including Revera, Benchmark, and SRG, healthcare systems such as UCHealth and the Cleveland Clinic, leads research funded by the NIH and NIA, and engages in commercial partnerships with major organizations like AARP and Verizon.
The Thrive Center and Rendever are hosting an open-house launch event to celebrate their new partnership on February 21, 2020 from 2:00-5:00pm at 204 E. Market St in Louisville, KY. This event is open to the public and guests will have an opportunity to meet the teams, try Rendever’s product, and enjoy a rich networking opportunity over light hor d'oeuvres and beverages.
“We are honored to be a part of the Thrive Center community,” says Kyle Rand, Cofounder and CEO of Rendever. “They have curated many of the leading products in the aging space and we’re thrilled to be among the line-up. This launch event will be a true celebration of industry collaboration towards a greater mission, and we’re looking forward to seeing where this partnership leads in the future!”
