Tide Cleaners Seeks New Franchisees to Uphold Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Within Franchise Business

Multi-Unit Franchisee Encourages Others to Become Owners of Tide Cleaners as the Future of Dry Cleaning and Laundry Service

CINCINNATI, Oct. 18, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tide Cleaners, the nation's leading on-demand dry cleaning and laundry service franchise, was recently ranked one of the best-performing franchise systems in the United States. In addition to the data that demonstrates Tide Cleaners is the best in the business, multi-unit franchise owner Raj Patel is encouraging other entrepreneurs to seize the opportunity to become a franchisee.

Tide Cleaners, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a brick-and-mortar dry cleaning and laundry concept. Agile Pursuits Franchising, Inc., a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble, opened the first Tide Cleaners location in 2008.

Patel grew up in the franchise world. When he was a year old, his father purchased their family's first franchise. Now, as his own boss, Patel and his family own more than 75 franchises across the Midwest. When Patel started to expand his business opportunities outside of the restaurant industry, Tide Cleaners became a top contender for numerous reasons.

"We've always mainly been in food franchises, in the restaurant world," Patel said. "What stuck out about Tide Cleaners was really their logo. There's Dunkin, there's McDonald's, you've got the monster logos that everyone recognizes in the franchise world, and Tide Cleaners is obviously bigger than all of them. Everywhere you look, there's a logo. Aside from the reputable brand, the research and technology Procter & Gamble brings to the table solidified the deal for us."

As an Indian American, Patel and his family know the importance of following the brand's diversity, equity, and inclusion ideals. With a diverse clientele, it is imperative Tide Cleaners has franchisees that represent the community they serve. Tide Cleaners has 190 locally owned and operated locations that provide everything from dry cleaning, outerwear cleaning, shirt laundry and wash and fold laundry, household item cleaning, and wedding dress cleaning, plus alterations and shoe cleaning and repair. Prior to opening a location of his own, Patel knew nothing about this business but was guided by Tide Cleaners' leadership every step of the way.

"We were brand new in 2013," Patel said. "We didn't know what we were doing in the dry-cleaning world because we were in the restaurant world for so long. Tide Cleaners laid out a playbook that worked and was easy to follow. Right now is the perfect time to become a franchisee. Patel currently owns three Tide Cleaners in the Chicago area with an agreement to open a total of seven locations.
