AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 9, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tiff's Treats, Austin's beloved warm cookie delivery company, is expanding its hometown presence with a new store at 1700 East Oltorf Street #110 in Austin. A kickoff celebration Saturday, January 18, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., will benefit the Andy Roddick Foundation, which helps youth in low-income communities reach their full potential through education and sports-based mentoring.
"With our recent expansion throughout Texas and beyond, it's great to open another store in Austin, where we got our start as college students baking cookies out of an apartment kitchen," said Tiffany Chen, Tiff's Treats co-founder. "We've seen a lot of demand for added service to southeast Austin, especially in the 78741 ZIP code, and we're thrilled to reach more of our city with warm cookie moments."
Founded 20 years ago in Austin, Tiff's Treats has grown to 58 stores in Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Investments totaling $50 million over the last 4 years have helped accelerate the business' expansion, including investment from Andy Roddick and his wife, actress/model Brooklyn Decker, long-time Tiff's Treats fans, who came on board in 2018 as brand ambassadors.
Grand opening attendees should arrive early. The first 40 people in line at 9 a.m. will receive $100 Tiff's Treats gift cards, and all others in line at 9 a.m. will receive $10 gift cards. Tiff's Treats will offer its most popular cookie flavors—chocolate chip and snickerdoodle—hot out of the oven for $5 per dozen, and will donate all sales (up to $5,000) to the Andy Roddick Foundation. Customers can purchase up to six dozen cookies each. Everyone at the event has the chance to win gift cards and prizes inserted in random cookie boxes and the chance to win free cookies for a year.
The money raised at the grand opening will provide two family engagement nights for more than 200 students and their families as a part of The Andy Roddick Foundation's innovative and acclaimed six-week summer learning program. The Foundation creates new chances for kids to grow in literacy, STEM, art and sports—all during months and times of day when statistics show they're typically most at risk and falling behind.
Tiff's Treats will give a $5 gift card to attendees who bring new children's school supplies for the Foundation's programs.
The Oltorf Street store is open as of today with a full menu of classic cookies and fudgy brownies available for delivery or in-store pickup. The store's regular business hours are 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. on weekends. Easily accessible from I-35 at the Oltorf Street exit, the new store will extend Tiff's Treats' delivery service to areas surrounding Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Tiff's Treats stores are cashless. Only debit and credit cards will be accepted at the grand opening.
About Tiff's Treats
In 1999, Tiffany Taylor accidentally stood up Leon Chen for a date. As an apology, she baked and delivered a batch of warm cookies, and the concept of warm cookie delivery was born. Tiff and Leon, just 19-year-old sophomores at The University of Texas at Austin at the time, opened Tiff's Treats with $20, a cell phone and a dream. Since then, the business has grown to 58 stores in Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina, with more than 1,000 employees, baking more than 100 million cookies since the company started. The founders are now married and the business continues to grow, but Tiff's Treats has the same core mission: creating memorable moments through classic, baked-to-order cookies and specialty desserts from high-quality ingredients, and delivering them straight from the oven to the home or office, warm, in about an hour. Customers can order online, with the Tiff's Treats app or by phone, all supported by industry-leading technology and top-notch customer service. The charitably-minded company continually gives back. On top of hundreds of thousands of cookies per year donated to nonprofit organizations, each new store's grand opening benefits a local charity. To date, Tiff's Treats has donated over $200,000 to worthy causes through these events. To learn more, please visit https://www.cookiedelivery.com.
