Tiff's Treats Unveils First-Ever Warm Cookie Food Truck with Visit to Dell Children's Medical Center to Treat Hospital Staff and Patients
State-of-the-art food truck to be featured on MotorTrend TV's Built for Business, then travel to Tiff's Treats' markets baking and sharing cookie happiness
AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 6, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tiff's Treats, the Austin, Texas-based original warm cookie delivery company, debuted its first-ever food truck with a visit to Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin to treat staff and patients to freshly baked cookies. Custom built by Cruising Kitchens for its Built for Business TV show, scheduled to air November 19, the truck is a full kitchen on wheels with the same baking capacity as a Tiff's Treats store—and the familiar look of the brand's signature cookie box.
Tiff's Treats co-founders Tiffany and Leon Chen saw and toured the truck for the first time at the October 29 reveal. "We're amazed at how the Cruising Kitchens team brought this idea to life with such a beautiful, functional design that will let us delight cookie fans and charitable organizations in our communities," said Tiff's Treats co-founder Tiffany Chen. "When you see our Treats Truck, think free cookies!"
From the Dell Children's Medical Center parking lot, Tiff's Treats staff baked in the Treats Truck and delivered more than 200 dozen cookies to healthcare workers and patients, ensuring socially distanced delivery through hospital staff.
"We couldn't think of a better way to reveal our new traveling kitchen than with a visit to Dell Children's to treat frontline healthcare workers, kids and their families. We are personally very grateful to these healthcare workers who provide world-class care, including to our son, who recently had surgery at Dell Children's," said Leon Chen, Tiff's Treats co-founder.
Hospital leaders visited the truck to meet Tiff's Treats founders Tiffany and Leon Chen before the group personally delivered cookies to the healthcare staff who cared for the Chens' son during his recent surgery. Leaders in attendance were Dell Children's Medical Center President Christopher Born, Chief Operating Officer Debra Brown, Chief Nursing Officer Elizabeth Fredeboelling, Chief Medical Officer Meena Iyer and Executive Director of the Dell Children's Foundation Susan Hewlitt.
San Antonio-based Cruising Kitchens, the world's leading food truck fabricator, designed and built the 30-foot Tiff's Treats truck to boast 22 feet of kitchen space, dual convection ovens, a custom 12-foot Tiff's Treats Signature Blue ribbon sitting atop the truck and other details so realistic the smell of baking cookies practically fills the air.
"I've been a big fan of Tiff's Treats for a long time and think this truck will be a strategic way for Tiff's Treats to get its brand on a nationwide platform," said Cameron Davies, owner of Cruising Kitchens.
Tiff's Treats bakes and delivers warm cookies and treats from 60 stores across Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina, with 15 stores slated to open over the next year, including its first Oklahoma location. Cookie fans can look for the truck as it delivers free, freshly baked cookies to surprise and delight people across the brand's markets. About Tiff's Treats
In 1999, Tiffany Taylor accidentally stood up Leon Chen for a date. As an apology, she baked and delivered a batch of warm cookies, and the concept of warm cookie delivery was born. Tiff and Leon, just 19-year-old sophomores at The University of Texas at Austin at the time, opened Tiff's Treats with $20, a cell phone and a dream. Since then, the business has grown to 60 stores in Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina, with more than 1,500 employees, baking more than 150 million cookies since the company started. The founders are now married and the business continues to grow, but Tiff's Treats has the same core mission: creating memorable moments through classic, baked-to-order cookies and specialty desserts from high-quality ingredients, and delivering them straight from the oven to the home or office, warm, in about an hour. Customers can order online, with the Tiff's Treats app or by phone, all supported by industry-leading technology and top-notch customer service. The charitably-minded company continually gives back with hundreds of thousands of cookies per year donated to nonprofit organizations and most store opening celebrations benefiting a local charity. To date, Tiff's Treats has donated well over $1 million in products and funds to charitable organizations. To learn more, please visit https://www.cookiedelivery.com.
