“The Gummy Bear”: a touching kid’s tale about an adorable bear who was secluded for being different than the rest, yet he eventually found happiness one day as he came across an interesting commercial. “The Gummy Bear” is the creation of published author Tiger Powell, a writer of 27 children’s books who unfortunately suffers from serious mental illness. He started writing these books as a tool to manage his mental health issues. He is currently incarcerated in the A.D.O.C in Tucson, AZ. for robberies committed in the throes of psychosis. He expects this to change soon and looks forward to building and expanding his children’s book projects.
Powell shares, “The Gummy Bear is a heartfelt tale that grabs you right from the start and never let’s go! It’s about a bear that suffers from a rare disorder that doesn’t allow teeth to grow! He is ridiculed by the other bears and given the nickname Gummy Bear. Poor little Gummy Bear is made to feel sad and alone, when suddenly he sees an opportunity to possibly become a mascot for a giant candy company! The story of a sad broken-hearted bear is transformed into a heartfelt fairy tale, restoring our faith in the beauty of mankind, which does still exist in a world of growing chaos. Bullying and ridicule have reached an all-time high and have touched all of us in some way. The Gummy Bear relates to all of us who suffer from disorders and circumstances beyond our control and who are made to feel less than normal. This Tiger Tale can help our youth at a young age learn that good character is priceless in the rough world we live in. This book is a touching tale for any age. This is just one of many Tiger Tales that are already done and on the way!”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Tiger Powell’s new book is a fascinating short tale for the young readers that leaves a message of faith and hope in a world where bad is always looming. The bear’s story patterns after those people who suffer from things way beyond human control which sadly isolates them from the society that’s even making them feel less than ordinary.
