TILLYS raised nearly $200,000 and donated one hundred percent of its proceeds to Tilly’s Life Center at its 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament ‘Tilly Wonka and the Golf Factory.’ This spectacular golf experience, held at the Mission Viejo Country Club, was fun-filled and wildly successful. Despite the covid-safety protocols in place, the scramble format golf tournament retained its excitement, featuring former NFL stars, influencers, and major brands in attendance.

The event featured brand activations from Ethika, Volcom, and Palm Golf Co., as well as complimentary food and drinks from local vendors such as Wahoo’s Fish Taco, Monster Energy, Hint Water, Yogurtland, Trust Me Vodka, Califino Tequila, Archie’s Ice Cream, Bratzermann, Dang Brother Pizza, Tap Truck OC, and more. The event received support from volunteers and event sponsors including: Sun Bum, Huf, Lakai, Primitive, Brixton, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Union Bank, Morgan Stanley, Marsh & McLennan and many others joining the tournament.

Key highlights included influencer Megan Heaton getting her first hole-in-one from 140 yards behind the tee on hole #13 and professional skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler, and his team taking home first place with an overall score of 61. Guests loved the fun, uplifting and positive theme and enjoyed seeing Oompa Loompas giving out candy and trying their luck at a Golden Ticket from a Tilly Wonka chocolate bar.

Mark your calendars for next year’s event on Monday, April 25, 2022!

The funds raised from the golf tournament will be used to expand Tilly’s Life Center’s (TLC) mission to inspire today’s youth to reach their full potential as productive, happy, resilient, and responsible individuals. TLC gives young people the tools they need to overcome challenges like depression, suicide, anxiety, substance abuse, and school violence.

About TLC:

Tilly’s Life Center (TLC) is a nonprofit educational program that helps teens overcome the serious obstacles they are met with on a daily basis. Our proactive approach uses experiential learning, journal writing, open discussion, and other activities to guide teens in effectively coping with crisis, adopting healthy habits, and reaching their full potential. The program is available as a high school elective course via virtual or in-person, an after-school program, or a series of workshops. Topics reflect what teens experience in their lives, such as stress management, bullying, body-image, coping mechanisms, and more. To find out more, please visit http://www.tillyslifecenter.org.
