Tech in Motion announces Timmy Awards finalists, celebrating using technology to help our communities

“I believe that the only durable competitive advantage a company will ever have is its culture,” Rex Kurzius, CEO of Asset Panda

On September 16, 2020, Tech in Motion named Asset Panda a finalist for Best Tech Work Culture and announced Rex Kurzius, CEO of Asset Panda, as a finalist for the Best Tech Manager in the Dallas Area. The Timmy Awards recognize great workplaces for tech professionals. Asset Panda and the other finalists have answered the call to serve when global challenges and uncertainties arise, leveraging technology to help their communities adapt to a new reality, create opportunities to give back and improve quality of life.

“I believe that the only durable competitive advantage a company will ever have is its culture,” said Rex Kurzius, CEO of Asset Panda. “What sets one company apart from the other is its ability to build a culture that empowers its people by establishing a strong work/life balance and giving people the creative freedom to work on their own terms.”

Dallas’ community voted here for who will represent the region as the Best Tech Work Culture company in the national round, judged by experts from companies like Netflix and Oracle and announced at the Timmy’s first virtual ceremony.

“This year, it’s particularly important to showcase those who stepped up to use technology through their products and services to connect, support or otherwise lift up the community,” says Mandy Walker, Director of Marketing at Tech in Motion. “However, all these finalists deserve to be celebrated for their outstanding efforts to give back and create a better world in 2020 and beyond. Tech in Motion is honored to acknowledge these leaders.”

On Thursday, Oct. 29, the public virtually joined Finalists, Regional Winners and the tech community at the celebration, complete with guest speakers and National Timmy Award announcements. As with the rest of 2020, the Timmys looked a little different this year: the 2020 Awards Ceremony was an entirely digital experience and handed out two new awards, “Best Enterprise Employers” and “Tech for Good” in addition to the annual awards for startups, managers and cultures. The complete list of awards and 2020 Timmy Awards regional finalists can be found here. For more information, visit the Timmys website.

Tech in Motion also featured Asset Panda in their November 12th blog which listed 19 of the best companies to work in DFW.
