After seeing their many cakes and the many awards they have won, I wanted this quality of design available for everyone.

Tina Turbin (http://www.TinaTurbin.com), the well-known celiac and paleo diet advocate and critically-acclaimed author, announced that she and her daughter, gluten-free celiac advocate Miranda Jade, will be hosting the renowned cake designers behind Queen of Hearts Couture Cakes of London, as they teach two full days of their highly sought-after London Master Classes in cake and cupcake design in the heart of Los Angeles. This is the first time this highly sought-after team has ever accepted an invitation to the West Coast to teach.

On September 9 and 10, Turbin’s will be hosting the world-recognized Queen of Hearts Couture Cakes Master Classes in the beautiful atmosphere of one of their Los Angeles kitchens. They have invited individuals of all cake-decorating proficiency levels and dietary preferences to attend and learn six exclusive cake and cupcake decorating techniques. A paleo and gluten-free London-themed light lunch and afternoon tea will be served. Three decorating courses will be taught each day for a total of six, each one focusing on award – winning techniques such as “Stained Glass Art,” “Elegant Lace,” and “Palette Knife Painting.”

According to Turbin, one of her goals is to bring paleo, gluten-free and other special-diet desserts and cakes to new heights, whether for the professional cake designer or the home baker. “Truly in awe of their work, I reached out to [Valeri and Christina] inviting them to Los Angeles. After seeing their many cakes and the many awards they have won, I wanted this quality of design available for everyone,” said Turbin. “The paleo, gluten-free and special-diet community has demonstrated that we’ve mastered many desserts and cakes without compromising flavor. Now our next task is to learn how to make these desserts as appealing to the eye as they are to the taste buds adhering to dietary needs. Miranda Jade and I will be testing and working with our own many ingredients after they return to London, applying the many skills learned. This will definitely bring paleo and gluten-free specially cakes to a whole new level, which has been a challenge to many business owners and home bakers.”

“I’m extremely excited to be able to work with these amazing artistic decorators,” said Miranda Jade, Turbin’s daughter and celebrated gluten-free advocate who runs their award-winning website, GlutenFreeHelp.info and is a Master Cake Decorator herself. “There’s nobody in the area doing these styles and techniques, and definitely no one willing to divulge their “secret” skills like these two are! To be able to offer these techniques openly to the public is really unheard of. I’m extremely happy to be involved in supporting Tina’s efforts to help bring truly aesthetic designer cakes to the paleo and gluten-free cake community.”

Turbin is a leading paleo advocate who has been raising awareness about the paleo diet broadly and in the gluten-free community. She is well-known in the gluten-free community for founding GlutenFreeHelp.info, which was voted the #2 .info website in the world out of over 6.7 million registered .info websites and is now managed by Turbin’s daughter, Miranda Jade Turbin. Tina Turbin later turned to the inherently gluten-free paleo diet and founded http://www.PaleoGlutenFreeRecipes.com in 2013.

“This class is ideal for all individuals who want to master the art of decorating wedding cakes, other special occasion cakes, and cupcakes, no matter what level they are at currently. These two London cake decorators have the ability to teach all levels in one class which is mind-blowing. In London and Europe everyone has left their classes with master-level proficiency and skills to enjoy for a lifetime. Of course, Miranda and I will enjoy seeing the paleo and gluten-free decorating options broaden tremendously,” Tina said.
