Ting Internet Partners with Computers4Kids for the Back to School Bash
Ting and C4K seek community donations of tech supplies to be distributed at the Back to School Bash in support of its mission to provide school supplies and backpacks for local youth.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Aug. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Ting Internet, a division of Tucows (NASDAQ: TCX, TSX: TC), is proud to partner with Computer4Kids (C4K) to sponsor the eighth annual Charlottesville Back to School Bash.
Ting is partnering with Computers4Kids (C4K), a local youth mentoring non-profit, to host a tech drive in advance of the Back to School Bash. The tech drive will be accepting donations through August 16 for tech accessories to help encourage learning in and outside of the classroom.
The Charlottesville Back to School Bash provides free school supplies and backpacks for local students from grades K-12. This year's Back to School Bash will be held on August 17 at the Sprint Pavilion.
The use of technology is integral in both Ting and C4K's everyday work. As technology advances and classrooms in Charlottesville are becoming more modern and technologically equipped, students require new tools. Ting and C4K are asking the community to help in their efforts by donating new over-ear headphones for youth in grades K-4 and new in-ear soft earphones and wireless computer mice for youth in grades 5-12.
Sponsorship and community involvement are at the core of Ting Internet's work. Ting supports C4K's efforts in fostering STEAM skills in Charlottesville's youth. For each item donated, Ting will donate $1 to Computers4Kids so they can continue fostering these valuable skills.

All community donations can be dropped off at C4K's Mentoring Studios located at 945 2nd St SE, Charlottesville, VA 22902 between 9am-6pm Monday-Friday. All donations will be distributed at the Back to School Bash.
