Developers Leverage TippingCircle’s Api to Integrate Social Payments Within Their Apps
(PRWEB) August 21, 2013 -- Since the launch of TippingCircle’s API back in May 2013, developers have implemented effective ways to use social payments within their apps. The API, TippingCircle writes, is a “hybrid API containing both OAuth and simple authentication based on the endpoint to support both easy and deep integrations.”
Companies and developers are integrating because TippingCircle offers a social payment profile with the ability to exchange money with basically anyone in over 190 countries worldwide. This platform creates an attractive personal payment experience that adds value to any application using it. The tip (or exchange of money) draws attention to the fun time friends spend together, rather than the money exchange itself. Users can also view one another’s profiles to find tipping buckets that their friends are passionate about and support the cause.
Wedjinni, a magical wedding tool for couples and wedding professionals, early on saw the benefits of using group payments within their wedding software to facilitate money-based gifts using tipping buckets. Wedding buckets are passed around the social networks collecting contributions from friends and family as the Wedjinni software automatically updates those gifts into their system.
As one of the first to integrate with TippingCircle’s API, Theodore Batzakas, the CEO of Wedjinni said the following about the experience, “The TippingCircle integration with wedjinni was a piece of cake. We couldn't imagine a faster and error-free integration with a third-party application. Now TippingCircle and Wedjinni users can exchange data like working on a single app!”
As discovered in the wedding industry, social payments unlock new possibilities for apps in many different spaces. From social networking apps to event management to online gaming, TippingCircle’s API has proven to be a great resource for developers to easily implement social payments within their applications.
One thing to keep in mind is that, in order to obtain access to the API, one first needs to provide details about their application and go through a quick approval process. There are different levels of permissions to the API where it’s very easy to gain access to the top level API verses the low level that provides more protected functions of the system that require a user’s authorization.
