TLC’s Busby Family Joins Learning Resources for Philanthropic Tour of Houston Preschools
VERNON HILLS, Ill. (PRWEB) August 29, 2019 -- Danielle and Adam Busby and their daughters, America’s only all-female quintuplets (TLC’s Outdaughtered), joined educational toy company, Learning Resources, on a philanthropic tour of underserved Houston preschools distributing more than $50k of early coding and STEM learning toys. The Busbys, whose own daughters are in preschool this fall, visited local preschools to meet the students and share their own favorite coding toy, Coding Critters. The newest screen-free coding toy from Learning Resources, Coding Critters enable kids as young as preschoolers to begin developing early coding skills, something the Busbys and Learning Resources feel should be available to all.
The Busby family, Houston residents and stars of TLC’s hit show, Outdaughtered, and partner Learning Resources, are committed to giving back and wanted to help ensure that underserved Houston-area preschools have resources like Coding Critters to help young students develop early coding skills.
"What we love about the Coding Critters is our girls and the kids at the event are learning to code and they don't even realize it," said Danielle Busby. "Donating $50k worth of Learning Resources toys is going to impact these schools by helping them implement STEM curriculum for preschoolers."
Danielle and Adam Busby are passionate about STEM education and value the importance of providing their six daughters with toys that help them develop critical skills. The girls love Coding Critters and wanted other children their age to have the fun toys as well.
Throughout the morning of Tuesday 8/13, the Busbys stopped in at preschools to drop off supplies, meet with school staff and have playdates with their daughters and the school students.
During the day, over $50k in total of Learning Resources educational toys and supplies were donated to Houston preschools including Pilgrim Day Care Center, Southmore Kiddie Kollege, and NeNe’s Kiddie Kollege.
More information on how the Busbys helps their daughters learn through play can be found on the Learning Resources blog: http://blog.learningresources.com/the-busbys-tips-for-stem-success/ Additionally, Adam and Danielle featured the event on their YouTube Channel.
