TNT Software was formed in 1996 as a pioneer in event log management and server monitoring solutions. The T-N-T portion of the name stands for Taylor and Taylor, however you can imagine that most people's first impression is "things that blow up." While humorous, that is not the visual you want when it comes to software. However, at the time Windows NT had just hit the scene so the name TNT Software stuck.
Now almost 25 years later, our founder felt it was time to come up with a name more fitting for a small software company based in the Silicon Forest that has stood the test of time. After several brainstorming sessions we are happy to announce our new name, Fire Mountain Software – referencing the great Mt. St. Helens right in our backyard.
But now you're thinking wait, that blew up too? "Yes, yes it did. But our software does not… We are the same great products, people and service you've come to appreciate throughout the years, and we're excited to have a new name and look to share with the world!"
