Toigo Foundation Names Two Alumni Entrepreneurs as Its 2018 Bridge to Business Award Recipients
The Toigo Foundation today announced the recipients of the non-profit's Bridge to Business grant award - aimed at supporting the successful launch and growth of Toigo Alumni-owned business ventures. The 2018 Bridge to Business award recipients are Joseph Acevedo of MoonSail Capital, LLC and Eric Samek of Brasa Capital Management. Both recipients are Los Angeles-based.
OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Toigo Foundation today announced the recipients of the non-profit's Bridge to Business grant award - aimed at supporting the successful launch and growth of Toigo Alumni-owned business ventures. The 2018 Bridge to Business award recipients are Joseph Acevedo of MoonSail Capital, LLC and Eric Samek of Brasa Capital Management. Both recipients are Los Angeles-based.

Joseph Acevedo, Toigo Alumnus from Wharton (2003) is a Managing Director and co-founder of MoonSail Capital, LLC, a private equity firm with offices in Los Angeles and San Juan. MoonSail invests in well-positioned, founder and family owned, lower-middle-market companies in the United States and Puerto Rico with a special interest in investing in growth-oriented MWDBE businesses.

Eric Samek, a Toigo Alumnus from Stanford (2003) is the Founder of Brasa Capital Management, a real estate investment firm that invests in multifamily, office, industrial and retail projects in the Western US and Texas. The selection committee was impressed by Brasa's business strategy and potential for success.

Both awardees were standouts in the applicant pool for their unquestionable dedication and loyalty to the mission of Toigo.
