Romacorp, Inc., the parent company of Tony Roma’s®, announces today that it will hold its annual Rib Eating Competition on August 25 and 26 in celebration of National Baby Back Ribs Day. Select Tony Roma’s locations around the world are hosting competitions, with local winners walking away with free ribs for a year.

The competition will be held on Saturday, August 25 or Sunday, August 26, depending on the location. Competitors will tie on a bib and have 3 minutes to eat 4 pounds of Tony Roma’s mouthwatering ribs. Those interested in competing can check with their local Tony Roma’s for sign up and competition information through July 31. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Participating locations will be offering local specials and additional events prior to the Rib Eating Competition. Spectators who are 21 years of age or older can test their strength in a Stein Hoisting Challenge. Participants can sign up on the day of the event at to see who will be the last one holding a full stein without spilling. The winner will receive a $50 Tony Roma’s gift certificate.
