Collins & Lacy, PC Attorney Elected to American Board of Trial Attorneys
Columbia, South Carolina (PRWEB) February 04, 2014 -- Collins & Lacy, P.C. is pleased to announce Jack Griffeth has been elected to the American Board of Trial Attorneys (ABOTA). The ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which guarantees the right to jury trials.
Membership into ABOTA is by invitation only and must be approved by the National Board of Directors. Griffeth will be officially inducted into ABOTA this week during the Annual South Carolina ABOTA Chapter Dinner on February 6, 2014.
Griffeth is a shareholder at Collins & Lacy. His practice of law has focused on defense trial work, representing employers in employment-related litigation and mediation. Griffeth is a past president of the Greenville Bar Association, past president for the South Carolina Bar Foundation, and a member of the House of Delegates for the 13th Judicial Circuit. He is a past member of the South Carolina Bar's nominations committee and past president of the Bar's Alternative Dispute Resolution Council. Jack also is a certified mediator by the South Carolina Bar and speaks frequently on the subject. Jack's extensive work in mediations over the years has garnered him membership to the South Carolina Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, an invitation-only organization of professional mediators and arbitrators who are well established as trusted neutrals amongst the legal community within their state of practice.
Griffeth joins Collins & Lacy founding partner Joel Collins as a member of the prestigious ABOTA organization. Collins is the ABOTA President Elect and assumes presidency of the national organization in 2015.
