1.    You need a lot of money; after all, you will need a 20% down payment. Not true. Times have changed, especially this year. While COVID-19 has had devastating impacts on most industries, real estate remains relatively healthy. Not to mention, interest rates are lower than ever. Plus, there are loan programs designed with first-time homebuyers in mind.
2.    You need a perfect credit score. Not true. Buying a home is not a one-size-fits-all business. People with an average score of 650 can purchase a home just as easily as someone with a perfect score of 850. The secret is to partner with an experienced realtor who can help you find the right lender to overcome any obstacle, including credit scores.
3.    Spring is the best time to buy a house. Not true. The best time to buy a home is when you are ready. Be sure and work with a professional with the knowledge and expertise to navigate all the legal and regulatory requirements of buying a home.
