The United Nations and Tortora Brayda Institute Silicon Valley Innovation Factory Contest is now accepting artificial intelligence entrepreneur's contest pitches
SAN FRANCISCO, July 28, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tortora Brayda Institute, a non-profit organization for multi-stakeholder partnership development, announced today that they are bringing the AI for Good Innovation Factory contest to Silicon Valley for the third year running. The organization will be soliciting submissions from Artificial Intelligence entrepreneurs and innovators of AI businesses from across the United States.
The AI for Good Innovation Factory 2022 is an UN-based pitching platform to help start-ups grow and scale their innovative AI-powered and SDG-driven solutions by connecting them to potential business partners, investors, governments, big IT companies and more.
AI for Good is a year-round digital platform where AI innovators and problem owners learn, build and connect to identify practical AI solutions to advance the UN SDGs. AI for Good identifies practical applications of AI to accelerate progress towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and builds collaboration to assist these applications in achieving global impact. It also features weekly programming, including keynotes, expert webinars, interviews, networking and gatherings throughout the year.
The Tortora Brayda Institute's AI for Good Task Force has been working tirelessly to prepare for this year's competition, and they are excited to announce that they are now accepting submissions for the Silicon Valley Innovation Factory contest. In addition, this year's task force has put together mentoring opportunities to support the candidates as they prepare for the competition.
Companies are encouraged to submit their application by October 14, 2022. A judging panel will establish a shortlist of the most promising teams, which will be invited for a live and open pitching session. The best teams will advance to the Grand Pitching Finale in December, where the winner will be announced at the end of the AI for Good contest.
"The Innovation Factory identifies start-ups around the world using AI to help advance the sustainable development goals and wouldn't be complete without leveraging Silicon Valley's innovative startup ecosystem. AI for Good is excited to be partnering with Tortora Brayda Institute for the third year to showcase US-driven solutions," said Reinhard Scholl, Deputy Director of the International Telecommunication Union's Telecommunication Standardization Bureau.
"As a judge of the AI for Good Innovation Factory contest in 2021, it was inspiring to see such authentic innovation across industries stemming from inspiring developers and business leaders in Silicon Valley. As our world continues to grow more complex, simplicity and empathy embedded in innovation will be key for this year's talent to incorporate into their solutions in order to help solve some of the most pressing challenges of our time," said Sarah Storelli, Board Member, Tortora Brayda Institute and Senior Global Public Sector Marketing Leader, Amazon Web Services.
