Tour San Francisco on a Kick Butt Electric Scooter Adventure

Brian Huber, the company’s president, says the tours cover some of the same ground as the Segway tours with one major difference.
“We can get closer to the Golden Gate Bridge with electric scooters than we can with Segways,” Huber explains. Neither conveyance is allowed on the bridge but scooters can venture closer, similar to where you can travel on a bike.
SF Scooter Adventure Tours offers four different ways to enjoy the city on a scooter, all of which offer stunning views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the city skyline:
1.5-hour tour. Glide through Fisherman’s Wharf and then out to the San Francisco Bay waterfront, enjoying iconic locations such as the National Maritime Museum, Aquatic Park, Marina Green, Crissy Field, and historic Fort Point under Golden Gate Bridge.
2.5-hour tour. See all of the above plus get much closer to the Golden Gate Bridge and a more stops in the Marina District including the Palace of Fine Arts.
Scavenger hunts. Whether for team-building or family get-togethers, these customizable activities are great fun and feature locations in Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, Russian Hill, and Telegraph Hill.
Private tours. These outings can be as long as three hours. Featured sights include those included in the 2.5-hour tour plus or minus any that you suggest.
And in the spirit of San Francisco’s tech culture, multiple stops are made for Instagram and Snapchat photos.
Every tour begins with some initial familiarization with the scooters and test riding. Previous experience with bicycle riding is extremely helpful, as scooters require the same side-to-side balance that bikes do. Riders must be at least 16 years of age to ride a scooter, according to California law.
